Privacy policy
In short
Tchini is published by Noqta Solutions LLC. The app works fully without an account. We collect as little as we can, never sell data, show no ads and use no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Without an account
Your workouts, routines and progress stay on your iPhone.
The app sends a random install ID (not linked to you) when it fetches settings and the games library, so new games can reach a share of installs at a time.
When you scan a barcode, the app first asks our product cache with the barcode only. If the product is unknown, your phone asks Open Food Facts directly and may share the public product data back to our cache. Your scans are not linked to you.
With an account (optional)
If you sign in with Apple or an email code, we store your Apple user ID and/or email address, an optional display name, your units and app settings, and your choices about analytics and notifications.
To back up and sync, we store your workouts, routines and settings as you record them, the XP and achievements computed from them, and your sign-ins (device name and times).
If you allow notifications, we store your device’s push token to send them.
Gym Bro (with an account)
Gym Bro is for you and the people you add. To use it we store your display name, a friend code, who your friends are, the crews you start or join, your duels (the game, its scores and a score timeline, the dare and who paid it) and the people you block or report.
Photos and stories you post are visible only to your friends, or to one crew if you choose it. Stories are deleted after 24 hours and photos after 7 days, with their fire reactions. You can save your own and others’ posts to your phone before then; what others save is up to them.
A dare video is seen only by the friend you dueled, and is deleted as soon as they approve it or send it back, or after 7 days if they never do. Approved dares add XP to your account.
Nearby duels connect phones directly over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth in the same place; only your display name and the duel’s scores travel between the two phones, and nothing goes through our servers unless you are both signed in and friends.
Reports go to our support inbox with the reported post or person; we keep them to act on them and to handle repeat abuse.
Analytics, only if you opt in
If you turn analytics on, the app sends usage events (for example a set completed or a rest ending) with your install ID, so we can measure whether rest games help people stay with their workout. Without your consent nothing is sent. Events are kept for 13 months, then deleted.
Feedback and reports
When you send feedback or report a game, we keep your message, the app and iOS versions, and, if you add them, a screenshot and an email address to reply to.
Notifications
Notifications are opt-in: a weekly summary after a week you trained, and news when a new rest game arrives. We never send reminders that you missed a workout.
Who processes data for us
Contabo (servers in the EU), Cloudflare (network protection and encrypted backup storage), ImageKit (stores Gym Bro photos, stories and dare videos as private files, opened only through short-lived links), our email provider (sign-in codes), Apple (Sign in with Apple and push notifications) and GlitchTip (crash reports, with no personal data). Open Food Facts receives barcode lookups directly from your phone.
Deleting your account
Delete your account in Settings at any time. You are signed out everywhere, your Apple ID and email are released and your posts disappear from your friends’ feeds immediately; everything else, including your Gym Bro photos, stories and dare videos, is erased within an hour. Encrypted backups age out within 8 weeks.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or object to its use by writing to contact@achref.dev. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Tchini is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Gym Bro’s sharing features are for people 13 and over.
Credits
Exercise data by RepDB (repdb.co). Product data from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License.
Changes
We will say in the app when this policy changes in a way that matters. Questions: contact@achref.dev.
